Instructions
We sincerely hope that you regularly use and enjoy this unique
self-healing
device. It is truly an innovative method for helping your body take
care of itself. Like any other form of health enhancing technique,
you will gain optimal results from using it only in the manner that the
designer advises. The Panacea(tm) is extremely durable, safe,
and effective when used properly.

claims no responsibility for use of the
product in any
way other than that described in these instructions. If you share
the device, we advise that you clean it before and after each use
according to the care guide below. Please have all users read and
follow all the instructions carefully, and review them regularly
for best results. Do not use it where the skin is broken, burned, or
otherwise injured. For medical problems, follow the advice
of your physician.
How often do I use it?
We recommend lying on the Panacea(tm) once each morning,
and once later
each day. If your schedule does
not
match the conventional daily routine, adjust accordingly. You
are also encouraged to lie on it more
often
if you prefer.
How often you use it also depends on the results you wish
to achieve. If your intention is to energize
yourself,
lie on it for a maximum of 8-12 minutes each time, whenever
you
need it. If you wish to utilize
the
Panacea(tm) for stress relief, pain killing, or to fall asleep, use
it when you need it for a minimum of 15-20
minutes.
Where do I use it?
We recommend that you use it on a bed or padded surface.
The padding
will help the Panacea(tm) conform
better
to the shape of your body, thus distributing weight most
evenly. For a stronger, yet not as well
distributed,
sensation you may lie on the unit on a hard flat surface.
We
do not recommend lying on inclined or moving surfaces due to the
pointed
nature of the stimulators.
How do I use it?
1. Prepare an area to lie down on the Panacea(tm),
according to the
section above. Try to choose a place
where
you will not be disturbed. A quiet, dimly lit area is ideal. If
you would like to listen to music while
lying
down, turn it on. You may choose to enjoy the cassette tape
we have supplied you.
2. Since many people tend to lose track of time and fall
asleep while
lying on the Panacea(tm), you may wish
to
set an alarm just before starting. Remember: a maximum of 8-12
minutes for energizing, a minimum of
15-20
minutes for stress relieving or pain killing, or pick a wake-up
time
if you plan to fall asleep. You may
find
that these estimated times vary slightly for you.
3. With the Panacea(tm) set aside momentarily, lie down in
the
position
which you will assume for your
session.
Place a rolled hand towel under your neck to comfortably
compensate for its curvature. By
positioning
one or two pillows under your knees, your lower back should
be flat on the surface. If not, or
if
pillows are not available, compensate for lower back curvature in
the
same way you did for your neck. If
the
room is cool, you may also wish to position a blanket so you can
easily
cover yourself.
4. Sit up. Remove your shirt or garments so that the
targeted
back skin is exposed. Place the Panacea(tm)
in
the position corresponding to the centerline of your back. It
may extend over the neck towel if you
desire.
Lie down slowly and carefully while supporting part of your
weight on your elbows temporarily, if
desired.
Relax! Do not try to move around. Sit back up
and lie down again if you wish to alter your
position.
At first, the feeling may be brisk, but any discomfort
will subside after 2-4 minutes. The feeling
will
shift to a warm sensation with light pressure.
5. When your alarm sounds or you wish to get up, sit up by
reversing
the way you laid down. Move the
Panacea(tm)
aside and replace your garments. You may notice the
increased
local blood flow in your back by
the
heat given off and a rosy appearance. This shows effective local
blood flow increase and will gradually
decrease.
How do I care for it?
For protection of the device, do not use it for any other
purpose than
that described in these instructions.
To
clean the surfaces, use warm soapy water and a non-abrasive brush.
Let air dry. Do not clean in the
dishwasher.
Do not step on the device, or put weight on it other
than in ways described in these
instructions.
Do not expose it to temperatures above 120 F or below
30 F. Between uses, place it in the
packaging
provided with the product, and out of the reach of children
and
others who have not yet read
the
instructions for its use.
How will I feel?
Some people even consider it Very uncomfortable at first.
That's
OK. It means the Panacea(tm) is doing
its
job. This is exactly how it works! EVERYBODY will feel
gradual decreasing of discomfort in one to
four
minutes. Remember: it's worth it!
If you have a very low pain threshold, you may wish to
train your body
by wearing an old T-shirt for the
first
two or three sessions. Every time you use the Panacea(tm), the
period
of adjustment will get shorter.
Experiments
have shown that even anticipation of an endorphin release
helps
the body to release them
without
prolonged stimulation. Listen to your body. Help your body
to feel positive about the sensation.
o Remind yourself about your short-term goal: "I must stay
on the
Panacea(tm) for at least five minutes. I
know
by experience. I will feel pain relief very soon. The
longer I stay on, the closer the goal is."
o Breathe deeply & relax: the more you're relaxed, the
easier
the adjustment period! Before you know it,
your
discomfort will melt into heat, and perhaps tingling.
o Your relaxation may become drowsiness. Don't resist,
indulge
- even fall asleep.
One great thing about the Panacea(tm) is that it works for
your body in
so many ways, and all you
have
to know how to do is: lie down and relax! As soon as the short
adjustment passes, you can
forget
about it. This can be an ideal time for you to meditate, read
or take a nap
